Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Received product more expensive than paid for

I purchased a suffleboard table to surprise my husband from a local store. I went to the store saw a shuffleboard on the floor smaller than the one I was to purchase. We sat down and wrote up the paperwork, I paid with a check (which has been cashed) and walked out. They delivered the board set it up. I was happy to see a scoreboard, so the delivery men looked at the paperwork and said it was the correct order. Almost one week later the store called me and said that the board delivered was a $4,200 board and didn't I know the difference. Obviously I did not. They want to schedule a pick up. I told them that I would have to get back to them. The next message left was when would I like to come in and pay the difference. What is my right as a consumer regarding this situation? Thank you.

Re: Received product more expensive than paid for

They obviously made a mistake. If you don't allow them to pick up the more expensive table and exchange it, then they can sue you for unjust enrichment. Chances are, a judge would award them the price difference and that would hurt your credit rating.
