Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

When an American became a suspect of an overseas fraud lawsuit and flied back to the US before the local court subpoena. Will the American have any problem reentering the US? Will the US customs deport it own?

If the person is US citizen, I don't believe they can be denied reentry into their own country. Whether or not the person is subject to deportation, depends on where the lawsuit is filed, whether it is a civil or criminal matter and the extradition treaty between the two countries.
