Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

credit card companies are suing my husband. i was only on accounts as authorized user. if creditor gets a judgement in court can they use it to put a lien on property or bank accounts with both our names on it. in other words can they hold me responsible?

In a word, yes. All debts incurred during or before marriage are community debts. When a creditor obtains a judgment against one spouse, all community property is available to satisfy the judgment.
