does a creditor have the right to send a regular letter to my employer asking for my salary, social, hrs i work, and wheather i am part or full time

If there's no judgment against you, absolutely not. And, one would hope, your employer is smart enough not to provide any information.

There may be a potential violation of the Federal and State Fair Debt Collecton Act. Was there a judgment against you? How old was the debt?
