Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Is there a statuatory limit of a deceased person?

I'm getting phone calls from a collection agency.

My brother has been passed for 3+ years.

Unless you co-signed or otherwise made yourself personally liable for your brother's debts, or you inherited property from him, you are not responsible for those debts. Tell the bill collectors to stop calling you. You can get more information about your rights and responsibilities to bill collectors at www.ftc.gov and follow the links to "consumers."
