Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

On 3/20/10 i recieved a 56.61 (a) infraction and was the only one in the limo to receive one. I don't even drink and just moved to San Diego and made a good frind was invited to her party and ruined it by getting a ticket! My record is completly clean I have never even been pulled over...

Can my licensed be revoked for a year?

And is the fee really an extra $28 for every $10 for the fine?

Also do i have to appear in court for an infraction the back of my ticket says to do one or more of the following: pay fine, appear in court, or contest the violation.

You can hire an attorney to appear on your behalf in court. The attorney can go to all appearances for you.

Hopefully your attorney can either get the case dismissed or reduced to an offense that does not come with a license suspension.

Contact me if you have any questions. Best of luck.
