Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

accidentally walking into woman's locker room

I recently joined a gym. On my

second workout and the first time I

used the pool I stepped in to the

locker room to take a shower, which

was located right by the door to the

pool. I took my shower and upon

drying up and stepping out I notice

the silhouette of a woman's body.

I'm ready to tell her that she's in the

wrong locker room when I see the

''Women'' sign and realize I'm in the

wrong locker room. I quickly leave,

not seeing anything. But as I leave I

can hear a woman gasp. I enter the

men's locker room, pack my things

and leave, completely embarassed.

But now I'm a little nervous that she

might have complained, and since I

was in there long enough to take a

shower, it may look like I was

intentionally peeping. Should go to

the gym and clear the air, telling

them it was an honest mistake, or

just let it be. It was a stupid

mistake, but it was a mistake. I

have absolutely NO history of

criminal behavior. I hope I'm just

blowing this out of proportion.
