Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Arraignment for 503pc embezzlment under 400.00 dollars

In a month I have my arraignment for an item i stole from my employer (that was returned). This is a first time criminal offense for me and it has me worried of the chance of jail time. The item was worth 399.99.

I would like to know what kind of fines or other bad things i might be facing?

Would I know what sentencing I face before I plea or could I change my plea after the sentencing?

Before you do anything in court you should consult with an attorney. Plead not guilty and waive time to allow you the opportunity to obtain an attorney to represent you. If you cannot afford an attorney then ask that an attorney be appointed to represent you.
