Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
California Criminal Laws regarding Married Couples
My husband was my co-defendent in a criminal case. I took a plea bargain but during my sentencing the probation department and DA requested that I not to have any contact with my husband. Is this legal. We have been married for 8 years. He will be doing prison time, but I am now out and would like to be able to correspond and send support to him during this difficult time.

Requested, or is this now a court order? You need to appeal the order, or have your lawyer file a motion with the court to withdraw your plea or modify the order.
