exponge a record

i was convicted of a misdemeanor when i was 18 with a 3 year probation. how can i get rid of this i am 50 and it has popped up

You can have your record expunged. It's simple to do. There is a form that you can find usually on the court's website. Fill it out and send a copy to the D.A.'s office and then file it with the court. There is a fee of (I believe) $120. Sometimes this can become a little difficult with older records. You may have to obtain your rap sheet from the department of justice to submit with the expungement forms.

If a CA conviction, probably; most can be expunged, allowing you to say 'no' to conviction on job applications. Contact me if you want legal help getting it done.

You file a request with the court to expnge your criminal record and/or seal your criminal record. It is basically a form filing process.
