Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

expungement in california for a fellony in another state

I received a fellony in Arizona for aggravated assualt. I was sentenced to county jail & probation. My probation was revoked & I was sentence to prison & parole. When released I succesfully completed parole. Can I get my fellony expunged or reduced in a California court?

No. Each state is required by the Constitution to give full faith and credit to the official acts of other states. Your conviction was an official act by the state of Arizona, and the other 49 states cannot alter it in any way. You will have to apply for your expungement in Arizona.

I don't know if you are eligible for such relief under Arizona law; you may want to submit another question to Arizona lawyers and see what they have to say.

Good luck.

Nope. It is not a CA case. Ask an attorney in Arizona if it is possible. Probably not - CA wouldn't do so on your facts.
