Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

felony conviction

hello, i got a felony marijuana charge in the state of california over 10 years ago. I have sealed or expunged my charge already so only government agencies can view my record. I want to enlist in the military, is there anyway i can have this removed?

Re: felony conviction

Unfortunately any dealing or possession-with-intent conviction is a "nonwaivable" disqualification as far as enlisting in the military is concerned.

No. Records are forever, and BTW, you're wrong about 'only government agencies can view'. Your record is available to anyone that inquires, and shows the conviction and the expungement. You can try to enlist, with explanation of 'changed life'. Good luck.
