Only misdemeanors can be expunged. Your case depends on whether or not the felony is a wobbler and can be reduced. Strict felonies cannot be reduced and your only option is to apply for a pardon.

marks because the expungement is not complete but it allows you to say you have not been convicted. You should talk to your lawyer or probation officer to determine if you are eligible and what conditions will be placed on your "expungement. If you are having trouble getting a job you should certainly try to get an expungement.

Mr. Shapiro is wrong. A felony can only be expunged if it was a wobbler and is first reduced. You can find more information at the California Court's website which has a self-help section. I suggest you look at that section first, before you waste your time and money paying some attorney who only tells you what you want to hear.
