Probation transfer out of state

Exboyfriend was extradited out of calif. Probation violation,put in prison 10 days when asked why left satate said to come help me with our 9 kids,they said ok released ,now on probation i year,asked his p.O to transfer here was told no calif. Not execpting any more is this leagel to keep from his kids for a year?

If he is on formal or informal probation (might actaully be on parole). They can keep him from coming home to California as long as he is on probation. If that's for three years. That's as long as they can keep him from returning to California. Why don't you call his probation officer, and speak to him/her? When he gets to the point he is not actively being supervised. But writing a weekly or monthly letter they might let him come home.
