Punishment for child abuse.

my mother is going to be arrested for child abuse.She had her children removed from her several years back for a similar situation.But no charges were filed.So being that this is truely her first criminal offense,how would the sentencing rang in years.And would there be a possibility of probation.And im sure she'll lose her children,but will she still be able to have supervised visitation with them.

Assuming that she either pleads guilty or is convicted of child abuse, the range of possible punishment depends on the particular code section she is charged with violating, and her conduct, that is the extent of and kind of injury to the children etc.

Probation is often available for individuals on a first offense.
