Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

my son was picked up feb 7th 2012 ,he is a parolee his 2 charges are dropped (something called 825 deposition) now hes got a parole hearing I guess 3056 what that mean ? The charges were 2800.2 and 496A, I keep checking if charges are file and they (sheriff) tell me charges are dropped. whats my next step ?

The issue facing you for the moment is the parole violation hearing. A person can get up to 1 year in custody for any violation. We have done many parole hearings and the person with the potential violation has to specifically ask for a particular attorney to represent him. So, if you obtain private counsel, he needs to specifically request THAT lawyer to be allowed into the hearing. I wish you well....... David Wallin
