You show that there was no legitimate legal basis for the warrant in the first place or sometimes you just have to show up for court ( which doesn't always end up resulting in jail time).

It depends -

What was the warrant for?

How long ago was it issued?

Have you had other issues in the case before?

What is your entire record?

Do you gave a valid reason for not doing what you were supposed to do?

Etc.

Talk to your lawyer.

Hiring a lawyer is your best bet ... walking in to court on it yourself is a risk. More/less risky depending on answers to questions above. Good luck!

Do as many of the following as possible:

First hire a lawyer. Second give the lawyer a good reason for missing court. Third tell the lawyer all of the good things you've done while you have been out on the lam. Fourth have the lawyer set a court date. Fifth have the lawyer talk to the DA if the lawyer feels that will be helpful. Sixth, show up on time for court.

Good luck
