We get this question a lot. I wish the Sheriff's Inmate Information website was more user friendly as to these acronyms. Ms. Hofmeister is correct. WISHOLD literally means Warrant Information Statement, Hold. It means that the sheriff's department has received information that your brother has an outstanding warrant, which could be any number of things. It means he does not get immediately released, even if bail is posted, until the warrant issue is resolved.

Ditto the above. He will not be granted bail unless the warrant 'hold' is cleared. If he actually has a warrant, then when this LA case is finished, he will be transported to the other court to handle that case. OR he could hire counsel to try to handle and clear it now. On misdemeanors and infractions, his attorney can appear in court without the defendant being present.
