Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

A few years ago I expunged my record under PC 1203.4 in Butte County. This is great, however, anyone can search my name online and find out every detail of the two cases. The information is extensive because there was 3 yr probation involved.

Is there some way to get this information sealed from public view???

Records of adult criminal convictions are very rarely sealed. (Juvenile records are not public to begin with.) You would have to make a truly extraordinary showing to persuade a court to seal your file. That you don't want people to find out about the conviction is beside the point, since that is true of most people with records. One of the reasons we keep these records is so that the public will have access to them. The public's interest in having this information almost always outweighs the defendant's interest in concealing it.
