Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California

Discrimination? Harrassment

I feel like I am being harrassed at work. My co workers, who are all caucasion make jokes about my citizenship status. I am a permanent resident alien and have been here all my life. I find it offensive when they say racist things even though they aren't directed at me all the time. I would like to know if there is anything I can do as I no longer feel comfortable working there. Is this harrassment? One example of something said was in regards taking a trip to Mexico (I didn't want to go)''Why not, are you afraid they won't let you back in?'' Any advice is appreciated.

Re: Discrimination? Harrassment

-You are describing a case of potential racial harassment which is actionable. I would need more details concerning frequency, notice to management, etc. Feel free to contact me at 805/641-6600. In any event, remember that the law prohibits retaliation for reporting racial harassment.
