Legal Question in DUI Law in California

old dui--have not been drinking or driving since

do I still need to go to school? and where is the school? I really could fight this one but I think it would be dumb after all these years.

It depends on how old the conviction is. Some judges may impose jail time. You should talk to an attorney.

If you were ordered to school by the court or DMV at the time as a condition of getting your license back, yes, you still have to do it before getting a license. No, you can't 'fight it' years later. If it was a court order, you could go back to court and request the court modify its order, based upon your years of driving without a problem, even though without a license. There might be a slim chance of success, at the cost of attorney fees, and a risk of ticking off the judge when you admit you've been driving illegally. If it was the DMV ordering school, just go to the school.
