Legal Question in DUI Law in California

IN LA how can I change a court date or can I?

I got a DUI the other day ( I refused a breathalizer, I think I was ok but I got nervous and didn't think straight). I just got my court date and it is in the middle of DEC, but I already bought my flight tickets back home for the month of December. I will be returning to LA in January, is there any way to change my court date? Also any other info on my situation would be great. Thanks!

Hire a lawyer and you won't have to show up for hearings. Or if you go it alone (bad idea) you could have the arraignment date advanced and continued to a date after your return.

You can go to court earlier than that date and request a change.
