Legal Question in DUI Law in California

I was stopped and the officer said my license was suspended and I have had a previous DUI but had a SR-22 on file. So I think the DMV made a mistake and my insurance company said i was covered with my SR-22 and insurance on the date that they said my license was suspended. Can I sue the DMV for their mistake?
