Legal Question in Education Law in California

Contract

I have a Employment contract for one year with non profit org. for a position of a director of a preschool,

the preschool does not have licence and we are serving 8 children all the year, i have 3 emplooees a and myself who are getting pay with out taking taxes, in March administetion reduced our paychecks and now they keep telling me to look for a job because they do not know what will be happening, but there is not giving me a termitetion note and i just found out that they are advertising my job for hiring even i still did not cancel the contract with them or left, what do I need to do to get the rest of my money from a contract that was not payed to be me / how it will reflect me that i was a director ofa school that was not licenced and what will happen with taxes?

You are at great risk! The pre-school is in violation of state law with regard to licensing. Any harm to the children may also be attributable to you because of the school's failure to license and conform to state law, making you also civilly liable. In addition, both the school, its board and officers, are violating federal law by not withholding taxes. You need to file your own taxes and report this income, nothwithstanding the fact that your employer has failed to withhold. They probably haven't made social security payments, medicare, etc. This can affect your ability to claim benefits at a later time.
