Legal Question in Entertainment Law in California

I want to steal the position of another director

About two years ago I completed a new adaptation of Stephen King's IT. I planned to make this as my sophmore film, providing I could attain the rights. Recently, I discovered that Warner Bros. has obtained the rights and hired Dave Kajganich to adapt and direct the film. I would like to present Warner Bros. and King with my adaptation and directorial vision that will cost less than half the planned budget. I have no idea how to attempt this as I have always been independant filmmaker, never studio. Obviously time is running out, once production is set there's no hope! Please help!!!

Re: I want to steal the position of another director

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but Bugs has gone with director Kajganich's directorial vision.

That's show biz.
