Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have 2 adopted children. I am divorced and paying child support. My exwife receives a monthly payment from the government for these 2 children. Should this amount be factored into my monthly child support payments

You don't say what type of government money she receives, but if it is public assistance it won't be factored in because she assigns her child support to the state when she gets it and the public assistance is offset by child support...

Mr. Green is exactly correct. It depends on the source and reason for the payment. If it is "welfare" type payments, then they are already factored into the situation. If they are some form of Social Security or othe supplemental income payment, then the should be factored into her income in the Dissomaster calculations. Also, if she is receiving welfare and is capable of working,my should ask for. Find work order to be imposed as a condition of her child support.
