Legal Question in Family Law in California

New Baby - how does it affect child support?

My husband is currently paying child support for 3 children. We had one together last year and have another one on the way (due in Sept). Can this be taken into consideration if we wanted to reduce the amount of child support he is paying? We live in California.

Yes. Your husband is entitled to a hardship deduction which may have the effect of lowering his child support obligation.

I suggest that you and your husband consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!
