Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Support/husband dead beat

My Ex is not paying child support, he gets our daughter every other weekend. What will happen if I refuse him until he pays me some kind of child support?

The harsh reality is that child support is mutually exclusive from custody and visitation.

In the event that you refuse him visitation you could be in contempt of court. That is not something that you want to do.

Which court issued the support order? How much does he owe? Do you know who he works for, where he banks, etc.?

I have been collecting past due support for the past 16 years. I might be able to assist you or point you in the right direction on that issue.
