Legal Question in Family Law in California

Custody and childnapping

My ex-girlfriend was given full

custody of our daughter (now 7)

when she was aprox. 2. I have not

seen her since she was 13 months

and mothers family has kept

daughter away from me. Mother

married convicted child molestor

(knowingly) and in 2005 handed

daughter over to grandmother who

in turn moved to Florida without my

knowledge or consent. No court

order given, only a notarized paper

giving ''guardianship'' signed

between mother and grandmother.

Grandmother has conviction for

child endangerment, DUI, and well

documented mental illness history.

Family also has long standing use of

welfare and criminal records. have

spoken to family law facilitator

multiple times and only response is

to file OSC. I believe that

childnapping and abandonment are

issues as well as

custody but cannot get straight

answer from facilitator. Have also

written courts in past regarding ex's

marriage to child molestor and

nothing was ever done.

Grandmother barely allows me to

talk to daughter and has no standard

mailing address in FL. only a P.O. Box

and refuses to divulge address I

DESPERATELY NEED HELP BUT

CANNOT AFFORD ATTORNEY

WITHOUT EXTREMELY REASONABLE

PAYMENTS.
