Legal Question in Family Law in California

Divorced in California my ex husband is paying court ordered spousal support. Married 14 year 8 months. Court did not specify how long support to be paid. He is planning early retirement from DOD, and he's ex military. He plans to stop supporting me then. I am 55 and in extremely poor health and unable to work. Can he stop or modify my support without a court order?

No. He would have to go to court on a motion to modify or terminate the existing support order. If he just stops paying he would be in contempt of court for failing to follow the court's existing order.
