Legal Question in Family Law in California

I've been divorced 10 years . My ex wants to appeal our retirement because I taught only 4 years and he had worked maybe 16 years, he wants me to sign an appeal to the qdro . Before signing should I consult attorney, not sure what to do?

You don't sign anything for him to have to appeal. He appeals by filing a notice of appeal, which would have to be timely, from an appealable order. You should consult in person with a family law attorney who handles QDRO's and litigation over them.
