Legal Question in Family Law in California

my ex husband has custody of our children well I have visitation. we made a mutual agreement so there is no fixed schedule for visitation on the court order. our agreement was I get visitation every other weekend. my ex husband hasnt let me see our children at all since Feb. 2014. He hasnt even let me talk to our kids on the phone since June. He also moved and transferred my children to a different school, there still in the same city, but he wont give me his address or the name of the school my children go to. Is he violating my visitation rights? What can i do to see my children?

One option you might have is to file a Contempt of Court motion. This is a motion where one asks the court to punish the party that is not complying with the court order for violating said order. If the court does grant said contempt motion, the violating party can be fined for each violation of the court order, along with a number of other possibilities.

There are certain conditions that must be present in order for the moving party to be granted said motion. The most of obvious of these is that there is a valid court order.
