Legal Question in Family Law in California
My husband and his ex wife share 50/50 custody. There was never a visitation schedule ever drawn up but for the last 5 years they have agreed to a schedule. Now she wants to move to save money on gas and wants to cut my husbands visitation to way less than 50%. We have an apt. to see an attorney but we are thinking maybe mediation can solve all of this. Can someone give me information on how mediation works. The child is 8 years old and has told his mother several times that he does not want to change and he dosn't want to have to choose between mom and dad.
