Legal Question in Family Law in California

My ex-wife has not been following the court agreement to exchange our children at an agreed upon location. She has been doing this for 5 months citing that she is either sick, has no car or has no money. She has said if I want them I can come and get them, its a 6 hour round trip. I have filed contempt of court charges against here because she is not following the agreement. What can I ask the court to do when we go back to court or will they give me that option?

A contempt of court proceeding seeks punishment for a willful failure to comply with court orders. If that was all you filed the court will likely do nothing to modify the prior orders or give you options.

You should alsofilee a motion for enforcement and a request for sanctions if you feel her behavior is a willful effort to deny visitation.
