Legal Question in Family Law in California

I married June 26,2011. I found out by way of emails, and women calling me, that my hb was having affairs with several women. I haev plenty of proof. He was seeing others the entire courtship and marriage. We make close to the same income. He is getting nasty and is threatening me that if I don't go back to him, he will get everything. I sold my biz and received a down payment for someone buying it, in Dec 2011. After 29 yrs of working for this company, is he entitled to the down I got? I am using this to open a new independent ins co with my daughter. That is all the income I have. My company actually terminated me, and they approve who can buy my biz. Help I know in CA it is a no fault state. Any thing you suggest? Thanks.

All your husband could be entitled to is part of any retirement contributions made during your short marriage, not any interest earned before marriage. You really need to consult with an experienced family law attorney to explore your legal options and to protect the new business you and your daughter are forming.
