Legal Question in Family Law in California

JOINT LEGAL & PHYSICAL CUSTODY - Schools

My ex and I share Joint Legal & Joint Physical custody. Currently he is the custodial parent. Our child attends private school. A potential high school requested his current transcript. The current school refused to send them becuase ''dad didn't know anything about it.''

The school rec'd copy of the court order indicating JOINT Legal & Physical custody upon child's enrollment over one year ago. Prinicipal and dad are ''friends.''

How can I hold the school accountable??? Is there a family code I can cite in a letter to the school?

Re: JOINT LEGAL & PHYSICAL CUSTODY - Schools

Family Code Section 3025 guarentees access to records for a non-custodial parent. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
