length of divorce procedure
If divorce papers are filed in October, how long does the entire procedure take, can it be ''postponed'',( for example on grounds of not missing work)- if there is a restraining order placed on one party can the postponement be ordered or still go through as first initialized?
When I call for a copy of complaint filed against someone for ''jumping'' me, why do they tell me I can't have one due to the nature of the crime? I was the victim and they never even told me the person was charged and sentenced to community service.

A divorce is going to take at least six months before it is final. It can be delayed for a wide variety of reasons, too many to list here. If you are the party that once the divorce to proceed in a timely manner, then you or your attorney needs to take the initiative to have the court set for trial.
