Legal Question in Family Law in California

Losing your child

My brother-in-laws smoke weed almost everyday, my wife and i with our 2 year old son moved in with them at their parents house and i'm worried someone might call the cops and our son will be taken away even though we have nothing to do with it. i'm currently active duty in the US Navy.

Re: Losing your child

I would consult with your local social worker to report the drug use. It is not appropriate for a child to be in a household with drug activity going on. I would move out if the drug user is not willing to stop drugs.

Good luck. Please consult with a local attorney prior to taking any legal action.

Re: Losing your child

Mr. Chau is correct about having a child exposed to drug activity. However, contacting social services could result in your child being removed from your custody. Move your child from the home unless the drug user moves out.
