Legal Question in Family Law in California

Married in NV at 16, parental consent forged. Now 28 & wanting to get married. Haven't seen "spouse" since 17 yrs old. Am I legally married still? How do I get a divorce if I don't know where the other person is?

You are still married. You may be able to have the marriage declared invalid. You should talk to an attorney, or the family law clinic in your area. The needed information can be provided to the attorney.

In California, you must be able to give consent to enter into a marriage. Your parent must consent to your marriage to make it valid if you were under 18 years of age.

if you were under the age of 18, an annulment based on lack of consent and /or fraud would seem to be the remedy. Please meet with an experienced family law attorney to assess your legal options. This is a complicated legal matter that requires skill and discretion.
