Married going through a seperation.

We own a few properties ,a business , livestock and vehicles. Do we have to get a attorney to split these items or can we get a paralegal to split everything.

You don't have to get an attorney to split those items. You can do it by yourselves if you are in agreement on the distribution.

Also, if you are contemplating a divorce, and you and your spouse are both in consent; both will sign the necessary documents; and at least one of you will fly to appear before the Judge on the day of the divorce hearing, you can file for a Fast divorce in the Dominican Republic.

A special provision in Dominican divorce law (142) allows foreign citizens, not living in the Dominican Republic, to obtain a fast divorce in the Dominican Republic without any residency requirement, waiting periods or classes. The Dominican divorce if done with due process is valid in US and worldwide.

This answer should not replace the legal advice you should seek in an office consultation with an attorney skilled in California Family Law.

Based on the considerable value of your assets, it would be best to meet with an attorney to evaluate your legal options. The role of a qualified family law attorney is to give you the best advice and allow you to select the best legal recourse from that advice.

If your property is in California and both of you are living in California, a proper divorce in this jurisdiction is the only sure way to correctly terminate your marriage and divide your property.
