mom disapeared

my husband has full soul physical custody of his 2 sons, the mother up and disapeared and she has not been around at all for 4 years, if not a little longer. She is now in contact with family and she wants the kids now,she was addicted to drugs and she even has a child now that was born early due to her drug addiction and has problems, but she claims to be sober for a year now, what should we do, we dont want the children in any danger or to mess with there minds due to her being gone for so long. Also we were going to move out of state due to job changes, do we have to notify her or have permission?

Re: mom disapeared

You should take your current custody order to a child custody attorney and have him review that order and all of the facts or the case to give you advice. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
