Legal Question in Family Law in California

For what purposes can child support be used?

My ex- is constantly accusing me of not using child support for my son's benefit. He seems to think it all should go for our child's personal use rather than helping with all expenses, including food, lodging, and the like. What does the law say?

Re: For what purposes can child support be used?

Child support is to pay for the expenses of the child including food, lodging and clothing. There is no duty to account for the child support that you receive. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
