Legal Question in Family Law in California

query related to marriage 1

In my previous question i have asked can i stop my wife who is on H4 visafrom entering my rented apartment that i share with my roommates.

I have another question.If i stop her from entering my apartment do i need to provide her alternative accomodation as she is my legal wife and has no source of income and is dependent on me?

No. You may be required to pay her spousal support. She'll have to go to court and get an order.

While Mr. Lemmons is correct regarding the payment of spousal support. You have a legal duty to support your wife. If she lacks sufficient funds to provide for a place to stay you would be well advised provide her with a place to stay. The court will take a dim view of you allowing her to be homeless.
