Legal Question in Family Law in California

Quitclaim deed +community property

I live in California. My boyfriend's mother and father got divorced and his father remarried. He had property that was paid off and listed his name and his new wife's name on a quitclaim deed. They didn't have any words of the type of conveyance stated on the quitclaim deed. My boyfriend is worried that his father's new wife has full interest in the property even though the property was paid off before they married. Does she? His father had cancer and committed suicide about a year ago and didn't have a will or trust, so they are going through probate. He has a family law attorney. I feel so bad for him. Your opinion on this situation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your help.

Re: Quitclaim deed +community property

get a copy of the deed to the property and consult an attorney about the situation. The attorney can review the document and the details of the circumstances.
