Legal Question in Family Law in California

reinstate suspended drivers license

There was a discrepance with amount owed, audit was done and amount was lowered but they want a lump sum that I am not able to produce in order to reinstate my drivers license. Need help filing forms to go before a judge to reinstate license. I live in Northern California but case is active in Southern California. What do I need to do?

Re: reinstate suspended drivers license

You need to go to the DMV and get the proper forms. Fill them out and file with the appropriate agency. Good luck and thanks for inquring.

I assume that you are talking about an action by the district attorney or the Department of Child Support Services. You can probably get your license reinstated within days if you hire an attorney to appear for you with the DA or DCSS. That depends on the local DCSS office and their procedures. In San Diego, I have done it with a telephone call, but that depends on your current payment situation. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
