Legal Question in Family Law in California

A better school

my x and I have 50/50 custody. One week with me(dad) and the other with week with her mother. At the moment our daughter attends school near her mothers grandmothers house. (two blocks away) My 10 year old loves to go to school, scores well on tests and gets student of the month. Basicly I want to keep the childs intrested in school, and want her to attend a high API school, that happened to be in near my home. I want to enroll her in a school near my house with the highest API score, but my ex is concern, because of the ''drive''. on the other hand, i have to ''DRIVE'' my daughter to school, 45min away evey school day the week she is with me. The school I want to enroll her has a API score of 875, and the one she currently attends scores at 605. I am getting the feeling that she is not looking out for our daughters best intrest, and that she is more concern about the ''drive'' to a school near my home. It feels and sounds that she is really only looking out for her own intrest, rather than, giving our daughter a chance to attend a better school.

Is there anything I can do, or file with the court?
