Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am currently on unemployment. My 10 yr old grandson was picked up by child protective services. I am trying to get him out of that and into my home. They said I would be like a foster parent, until his mother could take him back. They would pay financial aid to me for him. Would I still be able to receive unemployment if they gave me aid. I am still looking for a job.

Thank You

The aid for the child is for their care not as part of your income and does not count against you for unemployment. Although you cannot make claims for support of the child without disclosing the foster care aid.
