Legal Question in Family Law in California

My ex wife gave me physical custody of my son last year. Now she wants him back. How do I fight her? She's a nurse and recently married to a doctor. I can't afford an attorney

You may wish to consider filing a motion asking your ex to pay your attorney fees if she makes more money than you do. You really need an experienced family law attorney to aid you in protecting you and your child's rights.

The Courts don't change a custody order just because someone requests it. An attorney can assist you with presenting the best case possible for why it is in the child's best interests to continue with the current schedule. Ms. Kock is correct, you can request attorney fees. I always warn people, however not to rely on that. For further information, visit http://www.ellifritzlaw.com
