Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Civil Case Judgement collecting

Can you tell me how strong is a civil case judgement? Do most judgements go partially collected or can paying a judgement be avoided by someone who wants to try to avoid paying? Thank you.

Re: Civil Case Judgement collecting

Big question with no facts. It really depends on the type of judgment, the debtor, assets available if any. Does the debtor have a job. If so, you can garnish wages. If you are having trouble collecting, contact a collection agency and they may be willing to buy the judgment from you and collect on their own. Good luck and thanks for inquiring.
