Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

CRC Rule 2.100 and Rule 2.109 states that papers must be numbered consecutively at the bottom. What if an answer is filed without page numbers?

It's a minor discrepancy that probably can be overlooked, unless an overzealous clerk in the court rejects the filing. Sometimes it's best to personally file documents at court so that one can easily rectify such mistakes at the filing window using a pen.

The court clerk may reject the filing. If raised by opposing counsel, simply file an amended answer, or ask the court to allow you to handwrite in the page numbers by interlineation.
